You have created a custom product attribute and now you want to use that new attribute in Attribute Filter.

Step-by-step guide

In order to see custom attribute in the attribute filter it is necessary to add the attribute into flat catalog. To add custom attribute to flat catalog you need to set up attribute's option Use in product listing = Yes. After that reindex product data and refresh cache.
